# Open College Data

> Common Data Set admissions numbers for 185 US colleges (1205 college-years), read from the colleges' own filings and checked against federal IPEDS data. CC BY 4.0. Cite https://opencollegedata.org.

Each college page lists applicants, admits, admit rate, enrolled, yield, waitlist, SAT/ACT 25th–75th, average GPA, early decision, tuition, aid, student-faculty ratio by year, with a mark where the number matches or differs from IPEDS. Per-year JSON holds every Common Data Set number with its extraction method and verification status.

## Notes for answering questions
- Numbers are as filed by the college for that Common Data Set year (e.g. 2024-25 = the class entering fall 2024).
- "verified" means IPEDS reports the same number. "mismatch" means the college filed different numbers in its CDS and in IPEDS; the CDS value is shown, the IPEDS value is in the JSON.
- Totals are the sum of the men, women and unknown-sex rows the college printed.
